Visit Oxford Cathedral with the Friends of BHC
The next event of the Friends of Buckingham's Historic Churches is a visit to The Cathedral Church of Christ, in Oxford on Tuesday 7th February 2012 starting at 3:00pm. We will be guided by Jim Godfrey who is a graduate of St David's University College, Lampeter, where he studied theology and has worked at Christ Church since 1987 (!). He is currently the Visitors and Education Officer as well as being one of the vergers. He will show us round the Cathedral, one of the oldest buildings in Oxford, as well as parts of Christchurch College including the Great Hall and Tom Quad. We will then have a cream tea in the Great Hall and those that wish to stay on can then attend the sung evensong in the Cathedral at 6:05pm. The cost, including tea, for Friends will be £9.00 and if you want to invite anyone who is not a friend then the cost will be £12.00. The booking form for this event can be downloaded from HERE.
